Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea was at his imperious best as Manchester United eked out a goalless draw against bitter rivals Liverpool at Anfield
The Red Devils must be thanking their lucky stars that the fax machine at Real Madrid broke down last year. De Gea wasn’t put to the sword by Liverpool as many expected, but when the time came to act, the Spaniard rose spectacularly to the occasion.
A fine save from a long range Philippe Coutinho missile was arguably the highlight of the game. After the match, Manchester United fans took to Twitter to hail the man that they now know as their saviour.
DE GEA, WHAT A SAVE!!

Coutinho tried it. Launched a scorcher after weaving past a few boys in blue. But after Christ the redeemer, it’s David DeGea. He learned.
