Yet another marauding performance from the Barcelona’s attacking trio ensured they kept the pressure on Real Madrid at the top while steering clear of third placed Sevilla.

As erratic and inconsistent Valencia’s form has been this season in their struggle to stay in the top flight, they have shown their ability to come big in games like their victories over Real Madrid and Ahletic Club Bilbao.

When the two sides met at the Mestalla back in October, they played out a 5-goal thriller out of which Barcelona took home three points after Messi slotted in a controversial penalty in the 94th minute.

And there was no shortage of excitement this time around either as Eliaquim Mangala gave the visitors the lead at the Camp Nou. However, it didn’t take the Blaugrana to peg them back with a Luis Suarez goal and Messi penalty before the close of the half that also saw goal-scorer Mangala sent-off.

Just as it looked like Valencia were heading into the half with a 2-1 deficit, Barcelona loan-boy Munir El Heddadi reminded his parental club of his abilities as he slotted in the equaliser for Voro’s side.

The second half was all Barcelona as a superlative attacking performance from Neymar ensured the Catalans came away with their due of three points.
