The ludicrous spending ability of the Chinese Super League has become even more preposterous, as they have now made Argentine striker Carlos Tevez the world’s best paid footballer

The former West Ham United, Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus striker is the latest in the line of well-known players heading east to earn huge money, as he joins Shanghai Shenhua from boyhood club Boca Juniors.

Tevez will reportedly be earning a whopping £32 million a year on his two year deal with Shanghai Shenhua. The fact that they are paying the 32-year-old such huge wages in truly shocking, and football fans around the world were awestruck.

The 32-year-old hasn’t achieved that dream yet, but it looks like he’s heading to China nonetheless.

The Argentine has a past of claiming allegiance to clubs and taking the moral high ground, only to be swayed by financial factors, and fans hailed him as football’s ultimate mercenary.
