The downward trajectory continued for Manchester United even in the Europa League, as Turkish Superlig side Fenerbahce won 2-1 in Istanbul to leave the Red Devils precariously placed in the group.
A late goal from captain Wayne Rooney wasn’t enough as Manchester United failed to claim victory yet again. The players looked listless and docile, and things became worse after star midfielder Paul Pogba was forced off due to injury.
While Manchester United played well in their last game against Burnley, they looked completely out of sorts for their Europa League tie. They were shambolic and reminiscent of how they used to play under Louis van Gaal.
The result leaves United third in the group, and fans on twitter were quick to slam the side for their poor performance.
