Manchester United fans hit out at English media for the reporting of the drunk-driving incident of Liverpool talisman Roberto Firmino in contrast to the treatment received by Wayne Rooney.

Manchester United icon Wayne Rooney has been castrated a lot, both on social media and by the press, during his footballing career. But the criticism reached a whole new high after the club captain was clicked with drinks in his hand at a public gathering.

Now, Liverpool attacker Roberto Firmino has come under the radar for drinking and driving, which is, in all seriousness, a very serious offence. But  one could not help but marvel at the difference in the reports of the two incidents by the press and media.

And fans have taken to Twitter to express their frustration and melancholy for the differential treatment while also sympathizing with Wayne Rooney.

But, there were a few Liverpool supporters who continued to support their current talisman.
