Manchester United achieved a comfortable 4-0 aggregate victory in the First Knockout Phase of the UEFA Europa League to advance to the next stage of the European competition.
The second leg was a rather mild affair but the highlight of the match was a brilliant team goal involving Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, both of whom have endeared themselves to the United fanbase, who took to Twitter to hail the duo.
Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were born to be on the same team

Juan Mata to Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Won’t get tired of saying that again. Such flair and creativity. Game over. Tie over.

Mkhitaryan and Mata dovetail so well it justifies Mata on the right wing but without Mkhitaryan he needs to play centrally. #mufc

Everyone last summer thought it would be Mkhitaryan or Mata, when in reality they’ve formed a special partnership. Midfield magicians.

Mkhitaryan and Mata just look like they were born to play on the same team, joy to watch. Come on United!

Jose Mourinho was also on the receiving end of positive reactions – with people praising his decision to field a strong team, especially with the EFL Cup final due on the weekend.
Mourinho is such a winner man. This line up with a final on Sunday shows that. It’s what you need at a club like United

7 months in and Mourinho has already got us back playing on Wednesday nights. The Special One ? #ggmu

José Mourinho is clearly turning Manchester United into title challengers. Only English club still in four competitions.

To think I used to deliberately leave the room whenever Mourinho used to come on a screen. He’s turning Manchester United back into United??

Paul Pogba produced another strong performance and the highlight was an outrageous piece of skill by the Frenchman. United fans loved it and the brotherhood between him and Florentin Pogba.

If you still criticize Paul Pogba for every mistake because of his price tag then Football isn’t for you!

Paul and Florentin Pogba share a laugh and a smile at the end of the game.
They just love it. ? #mufc pic.twitter.com/mjdZy2z1aS

Class ball from Pogba to Ibra. As usual. Poor offside call.
