Paul Pogba seemed to be in his usual groove as he shined on Saturday, with a goal and assist, with Manchester United securing a comeback 4-1 win over Newcastle.
There was much enthusiasm in the stands and within Manchester United fans worldwide as Jose Mourinho opted to start both Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford together. There was a rare start for Victor Lindelof as well. But, it was Paul Pogba’s return which proved to be decisive.
The Frenchman looked to be at his usual smooth best. Not only did the player end the night with a goal and an assist but he mesmerised the crowd with his overall performance over the entire match.
I totally get the Pogba scrutiny given his price.
But, banter aside, any honest person can see his quality. He’s a gem.

Pogba. Wow. It’s almost as if being without your best player for two months makes a difference to how well you play ?

May Pogba never be injured again. Amen

I respect players that can dribble from a standing position. That’s the most difficult
That’s why I respect pogba

No need wasting my time engaging in any Pogba argument.
Anyone with a little bit of common sense would know he is World Class.

Paul Pogba is utterly ridiculous. Playing balls he had no right to, making passes that were majestic. What. A. Man.

Look at Pogba, no CM should have that level of 1 v 1 ability. Generational talent.

I’ve been calling for Martial and Rashford to start together for a while. Interested to see how it works out

Good to see Mourinho starting Martial & Rashford together now that we have some other options capable of changing the game from the bench

Think Jose will realise after this, Martial and Rashford starting in the same side is the way to go vs teams at home. Too much pace and unpredictability to handle for opposition defences. #mufc

Well it’s fair to say playing Martial, Rashford & Lukaku certainly works! Their movement, skill, pace & attacking threat caused the defence all sorts of problems #MUFC

Finally, just finally Lukaku, Rashford & Martial start a game together for the first time. Excited too see their pace, skill & power get at the opposition backline #MUFC
