Manchester United will maintain their dominion over the league table as they register another win and another clean sheet against an admirable Leicester side.
Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils continued their intimidating start to the season as they managed to triumph over the visiting Leicester City. The win was not easy – United had to work hard against a solid Leicester defence. In fact, it almost felt like a repeat of last season as the match looked like it might end in a draw.
However, that was before the super substitutes Marcus Rashford and Marouane Fellaini settled the match and turned things in favour of the club. With an impending doom settling over Old Trafford, Rashford and Fellaini burst into the scene and livened things up by securing an impressive victory for Manchester United.
Leicester City were fielding their typical counter-attack tactics, with the tricky Mahrez twice beating United defenders on the right, following which, he went on to fire two efforts past the goal. With the match being a well-rounded one, Twitter was soon flooded and THT takes a look at some of the best tweets regarding the game:
Leicester seem determined to give Pogba enough space to score a goal that can be uploaded to YouTube with a dub-step remix. #MUNLEI

While most of the attention was rightfully received by Rashford and Fellaini, people were quick to take note of David De Gea’s quiet brilliance in front of the goal.
De Gea with a WORLDIE. That's why he's the best keeper in the world! Another clean sheet for United and 10 goal difference. Job done.
— The United Stand (@UnitedStandMUFC) August 26, 2017
Confirmation if we needed it that David De Gea is still the best goalkeeper in the world. ???

How did De Gea save that last Leicester Ball? That save was Merlin level sorcery .
Like dodging a bullet at point blank range.— Tope Bush (@Thorpeskii) August 26, 2017
What DeGea stops with his legs , most keepers in the world can't stop with their hands …
this isn't a swipe at anyone , facts only ?

10 goals conceded in 3 games for Joe Hart. Remember when they compared him to De Gea? ? ? ? ?
Ah, the English media ? ?

Besides De Gea, the United defence looked incredibly strong against Leicester. The Foxes looked menacing at certain points and were almost successful in building up the pressure, but the resilient Red Devils’ defence kept them at bay. Phil Jones, in particular, proved to be quite a strong player.
Somehow, Eric Bailly's partnership with Phil Jones is working out tremendously. Look so robust. Very promising.
— Liam Canning (@LiamPaulCanning) August 26, 2017
Phil Jones has been transformed into Maldini under Jose. Solid as a rock, great partner for Bailly. Lindelof should be concerned.
— The United Stand (@UnitedStandMUFC) August 26, 2017
Phil Jones showing when it comes down to a choice between him and Smalling there is only one winner
— Pilib De Brún (@Malachians) August 26, 2017
A game United might have drawn 0-0 last season, but ends in a 2-0 win. Won't grab the headlines but Phil Jones good again.
— Rob Dawson (@RobDawsonESPN) August 26, 2017
Phil Jones is still only 25. I sense Mourinho is going to help him realise the potential he's had since Blackburn days. Top defender
— Matt Law (@Matt_Law_DT) August 26, 2017
If Phil Jones can stay fit, there won't be many better defenders in England. As for Bailly… oozes class.
— Dale O'Donnell (@ODonnellDale) August 26, 2017
Eric Bailly is amazing and obviously everyone loves him. But Phil Jones has been outstanding this season so far, deserves equal praise.
— Lee (@Lee20495) August 26, 2017
Phil Jones is actually starting to look like a defender. Pass it on.
— James Stretford (@Jamesstretford) August 26, 2017
Man of the match for me was Phil Jones, thought he had one of his most dominant performances in years. Bailly was a boss as usual too.
