For all the worries surrounding Liverpool’s inability to finish off the smaller teams in the league, the Reds came out firing on all cylinders at Anfield to demolish Hull City by a resounding 5-1 margin, leaving supporters raving about their players, Adam Lallana in particular.
The Reds have managed a swash-buckling start to their Premier League season with resounding victories over the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester City to savour early on. However, it was Liverpool’s inability to finish off the smaller teams that invited a lot of flak from supporters and it kept them on the edge of the seats ahead of a clash against Hull City.
But the Reds came out and did exactly that as Hull City were dished out a thrashing at the hands of Jurgen Klopp’s men, courtesy of some noteworthy performances from Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane. The trio, in addition to James Milner, made it to the score-sheet to cap off yet another emphatic afternoon of football at Anfield.

Lallana kick-started proceedings for Liverpool in the 17th minute scoffing the ball into the right-hand corner of the net after receiving the ball inside the box from Coutinho. The midfielder would go on to assist Coutinho and Mane later on and earned the plaudits of all who came to watch the game when he was subbed off in the 68th minute.
17: What a start to the season for Adam Lallana. Coutinho crafts an opening, slides in his mate who does the rest! Get in.

— Andrew Beasley (@BassTunedToRed) September 24, 2016
Lallana continuing to add that productivity to his game this season, another two assists and a goal for him today. Keep it up Adam!

What an absolutely peach of a goal. Lallana 2015 to Lallana 2016 is my favourite Pokemon evolution to date.

Milner scored a pair of penalties to help the resounding margin of defeat the Reds were affecting on the Tigers. And many fans acknowledged the remarkable shift of work the midfielder was putting in at left-back. The 30-year-old is now Liverpool’s joint top-scorer in the Premier League along with Lallana who both have 3 apiece.
James Milner on fire yet again….2 goals and an assist. One of the best free signings we’ve made in years. Fan favourite.

James Milner has really stepped up his game.
— LFC Fans Corner (@LFCFansCorner) September 24, 2016
I remember doubting Klopp over not signing a new LB in the summer, but the more minutes Milner gets the more I am proven wrong.
— Kloppholic (@Kloppholic) September 24, 2016
James Milner, brought to play in midfield, told to play at left back. No complaints. No excuses. Gets on with it. True professional.

I got Firmino and Mane in as I saw Liverpool at home to Hull. Lallana and Milner with the goals. Textbook.

Milner with his 162661th successful take on today, what a man

Sadio Mane was on cue once more as he netted off a brilliant assist by Adam Lallana to triple the lead for the Reds in the 1st half. The Senegalese has been brilliant for Liverpool since his summer move from Southampton and supporters will only pray that continues.

First thing Sadio Mane says in his interview: “Maybe it’s not one of our best games.”
Despite winning 5-1, everyone’s striving for better.

Sadio Mane at £36M is a steal. Scores goals, tracks back retrieving possession constantly and creates attacks. Bargain. #lfc

Sadio Mane has now been directly involved in 14 goals in his last 15 games at club level (11G & 3A).

However, the goal of the afternoon clearly belonged to Philippe Coutinho who belted yet another long-range strike from outside the box to restore the Reds 3-goal lead in the 2nd half immediately after Hull pulled one back.
What a wonderful player Philippe Coutinho is.
