Liverpool took their place at the top of the Premier League table with a marauding 6-1 victory over Watford at Anfield. A boisterous army of Reds’ supporters reveled in their triumph on social media.

Incessant, unrelenting and heavy-metal may just be few of the adjectives used to describe Liverpool’s performance against Watford. The Reds obviously would have approached this tie with a measure of caution keeping in mind their loss to Watford last year and the Londoners’ good run of form going into the fixture at Anfield. However few would have expected the torrent of goals that came Liverpool’s way after a dominating performance on the night.

At the end of it all, it was a win to cherish for the Reds as they displaced Chelsea at the top of the table to be one point clear of the Blues and two points clear of Manchester City and Arsenal, who were both held to 1-1 draws this weekend.
