Sadio Mane and Coutinho were arguably the two best players at Anfield as Liverpool defeated Everton 3-1 to extend their unbeaten Merseyside derby record at home
Liverpool had Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson both unavailable for the Merseyside derby, which was expected to be a tough affair. But, Jurgen Klopp ‘s men managed a comfortable 3-1 win over their local rivals to further cement their top-4 aspirations.
Sadio Mane opened the scoring for the Reds and was a nuisance throughout while Coutinho also managed to get himself on the scoresheet while his pass found Origi open to set up the third. The duo were hailed by the Kop army on Twitter.

Sadio Mané (DKR) has done more for LFC in 8 months than Steven Gerrard in 15 years, deal with it

Sadio Mané is the best thing that has happened to this football club since we signed Luis Suárez. Even that could be an understatement.

The way the ball hits the net for Coutinho’s goal. Inside side netting then across the back of the net. Absolutely textbook.

Only 18 months between Coutinho and Barkley, but one is so much further ahead of the other..

Coutinho picked the ball up in Iniesta’s position and produced something Iniesta couldn’t.

Philippe Coutinho has to get his football boots specially made because his feet are made of unicorn hair and rainbows.
