Marcus Rashford’s early strike was enough to hand Manchester United all three points in their away match against Leicester City.
Manchester United somehow prevailed over Leicester City in what was a nervy ending to the match. United started the game strong and should have taken the lead in an instant early on, with Marcus Rashford missing a close header. The academy ace soon redeemed himself by controlling a Paul Pogba ball before slotting it in the back of the net.
There were a few other chances, with United dominating the first half. The second half started with a Leicester City blitz and it continued to be so, with United only getting sniffs at goal every now and then. But, the defence held on, which combined with some brilliant saves from De Gea and haphazard finishing from Leicester City, ensured the win.
Marcus Rashford received praise for his goal while there were some who were quick to highlight his mistakes during other attacking ventures on Sunday.
Never understood these doubts about @MarcusRashford’s composure in front of goal. He’s always struck me as totally confident and calm in his finishing. Mature beyond his years.

Really important move from Solskjaer to keep faith in Rashford as our starting forward. No academy graduate has scored more goals in their first 100 league appearances. After that early miss, I was nervous it would be a repeat of Burnley. But his touch and finish was top today. pic.twitter.com/HhufxPPVNh

No Man Utd academy player has scored more goals in their first 100 Premier League games than Marcus Rashford (26).

Rashford’s first touch was sublime…allowed him to set for a great finish. Pogba class with assist…
