Karim Adeyemi has voiced his delight over speculations linking him to a move to bigger clubs, including Liverpool.

Speaking to the media this week, Karim Adeyemi has opened up on speculations surrounding him this season. The RB Salzburg starlet has acknowledged the interest from top clubs across Europe, even feeling flattered. However, the forward insists he is remaining calm on the issue and wants to focus on his current club Salzburg.

Formerly of Unterhaching and FC Liefering, Adeyemi has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in Europe, thanks to his breakthrough at RB Salzburg. The attacker has been involved in close to 40 goals in 67 competitive appearances while recently winning three caps for the German national team.

The 19-year-old youngster’s performances at the highest level of football have seen him being linked with numerous top clubs across Europe, including Liverpool. In fact, the Premier League giants are one of the top admirers of the German international. with Jurgen Klopp eyeing him as the desired forward next season.

However, in a recent interview with Heute, as cited by Sport Witness, Karim Adeyemi insisted he is relaxed about his current situation. He refused to comments further on the links other than expressing his delight. “I’m very relaxed about it. I feel honoured, but nothing more,” said the youngster.

Adeyemi then went on to further stress his current objectives and goals at Salzburg. “I have my focus here at Salzburg. We play well together. It works perfectly,” he said.

Liverpool, though, won’t be deterred by the comments of the 19-year-old as they continue to monitor the attacker who has already been involved in 14 goals in all competitions this season. Stylistically, he is not an Erling Haaland, but the German is certainly the next big thing to come out of Salzburg’s conveyor belt of young talents.

However, it does make the job a tad too difficult for Liverpool, as far as the pursuit of Adeyemi is concerned. The attacker, after all, is strongly courted by both Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich while Salzburg themselves have recently slapped a hefty price-tag on their attacking prospect.

Not to mention, most Salzburg players tend to move to the Bundesliga, which means Jurgen Klopp will have to pull something out of the hat if he is to secure the services of the youngster next season.
