Soon-to-be free agent Gareth Bale has a ‘lot of offers’ as he prepares to bid goodbye to Real Madrid when his contract runs out.

Speaking to the media while on international duty with Wales (h/t MARCA), Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale has admitted that he has no shortage of offers as he prepares to leave the club as a free agent this summer.

Bale’s nine-year association with Real Madrid will finally come to an end this summer. The Welsh wing-wizard joined the Spanish capital club from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2013 and enjoyed a stunning few years at the club, playing key roles in their success domestically and in Europe.

However, Bale’s stature at Real Madrid has drastically reduced in recent years as he fell out with club legend and former manager Zinedine Zidane. The 32-year-old’s fortune did not improve much this past season under Carlon Ancelotti either as he was barely used by the Italian tactician.

Now that Bale’s contract is set to expire at the end of this month, he will be bringing an end to his time in the Spanish capital. Indeed, the 32-year-old bid goodbye to fans after winning the fifth UEFA Champions League title with the club last month.

There has been speculation that Bale might be retiring from the game completely, but the winger has dismissed those rumours, insisting that he has plenty of offers to choose from as he prepares for his next journey.

“As I’ve said before, I’m not concentrating on what the future holds. We’ve got a very important game. I don’t need to think or worry about anything else,” he said when asked about his future. And when asked if he has any offers on the table, the wing-wizard replied: “I’ve got a lot!”

There have been reports of interest from MLS club D.C. United, while clubs in Britain like Southampton and Cardiff City are also keen. Having helped Wales qualify for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year, the 32-year-old will need to find a club where he can play regularly, so that he can stay in top shape for the showpiece event.
