Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has been making the headlines for all the wrong reasons. He went a step further when he took to social media platform Snapchat to express his displeasure at not being a part of Jurgen Klopp’s first team plans.
In the wee hours of Saturday morning, the French defender confirmed he is ready with full fitness and is waiting to be called upon by the Liverpool boss. According to the Liverpool Echo, he said:
“Now it’s three weeks I am fit to play games. They don’t want me to play with segonde (segondo, U23s) team lol.
“Still working hard like Scouse Soldier! Still not talking cos I want to speak on the pitch….I will speak soon for the people who support me and don’t understand the situation (emoji).
“Still happy to live in my Liverpool Country (emoji) with my family, hope to have chance to play soon to give my best like I try to always do!
“I accept my situation but I can’t accept the lie….the fans deserve to know the true! Thanks for your support (emoji) 6 six months stay quiet.
“Have good night everybody! You’ll never walk alone! (emoji).”

This undoubtedly annoyed the Liverpool faithful who took to social media to express their displeasure:
I love Mamadou Sakho but he’s just cemented the end of his Liverpool career. Shame it’s come to this.

Sakho explains how he will do his talking on the pitch… In a 3am Snapchat. Bell end. Klopp made it clear. You will not play. Go on loan.

Sakho is never winning a popularity contest against klopp. Don’t even know why he’s tried to drag fans in to it

Sakho’s been a bellend. Indefensible and selfish, drunk or not. Exact opposite of Mignolet.

If you’re defending Sakho this morning I suggest you start following his career instead of Liverpool from now on

Lovren is going through hell in his personal life and remains a true professional. Compare this with Sakho’s behaviour
— Con (@ConsFootball) September 24, 2016
Never thought I’d say it though but Sakho could learn a thing or two from mignolet about being dropped. Guys has been a top pro over it

Sakho should if kept quiet but you’d be stupid if you didn’t know there was something goin on other than his fitness pic.twitter.com/EUw3Oeklbb

If Sakho had a brain he’d be world class. Pity he’s an idiot. #LFC
— Kevin (@OkeyDoke90) September 24, 2016
It’s not childish for Sakho speaking out, as he’s not actually done so until now. What is childish is doing it this way.
— lfctopic (@lfctopic) September 24, 2016
I’ve defended him in the past but Sakho’s snapchats last night are indefensible & I think he’s career at #lfc is done
