Danny Ings was dealt a cruel injury blow once again after being effectively ruled out for another season owing to a ligament tear he suffered after a tackle during Liverpool’s EFL Cup clash against Tottenham Hotspur
Danny Ings has been at Liverpool for well over a year now, but one can finger-count the number of games he has played for the Reds. That is how unlucky the Englishman’s luck with injuries has been since his arrival at Anfield. The 24-year-old only recently recovered from an ACL injury that ruled him out of last season’s action and made his return to competitive first-team action only last week.
Twitter was swarmed with commiserations for the striker from all quarters of the footballing community, in particular the Liverpool fans, who were really taken into the striker’s character, passion for the club and work ethic from his early days at the club.
My hatred for Liverpool doesn’t stop me feeling sorry for Danny Ings. He deserves a bit of good luck at this stage
