Bristol City scored in Fergie Time to knock holders Manchester United out of the Carabao Cup with a 2-1 win at Ashton Gate on Wednesday.
Manchester United will not be able to defend their Carabao Cup title after bowing out of the Quarter-Finals of the competition. It was an Ashton Gate miracle for Bristol City as the home fans witnessed their side go toe-to-toe with the holders of the competition and emerge victorious as well.
The manner of the goals from Bristol City were also very very good. The second took the cake though, with the goal coming in classic Fergie Time – a 93rd minute goal that dashed United’s hopes of reaching the semi-finals. The upset was met with some interesting reactions.
Do u wanna hear a joke ?
Manchester United.

Manchester United fans claim they don’t care about the Carabao cup when last year they added It into their so called treble. It only matters when it benefits them…

On a gloomy night, there was some cheer for United fans, who saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic mark his first game of the season as captain with a goal in typical Zlatan way – a grounded blitzing free kick.
? Zlatan Ibrahimovic aged 36:
? 20 April 2017: Suffers career-threatening knee injury. ?
? 20 December 2017: Scores on his @ManUtd return as captain. ?

People moaning at Zlatan for the first half performance should be ashamed to call yourself fans. The man had been out 8 months.
— Nick Newell (@_NickNewell_) December 20, 2017
Zlatan clearly not 100% but take nothing away from how impressive it is that just 6 months after suffering cruciate ligament damage, at 36 years of age, he’s starting for Manchester United.
— The Football Writer (@ZeFutbolWriter) December 20, 2017
Easy to criticise Zlatan but he’s back ahead of schedule from an injury that players 10 years younger than him sometimes don’t make it back from. Needs minutes and games. Currently he’s rusty but time on the pitch should be doing him good. Judge him February time.

One handle though, might have foretold United’s fate on the night.
Be very surprised if we scored less than three tonight with Pogba, Zlatan, Rashford and Martial on the pitch#MUFC
