Arsenal’s 14 match unbeaten run in the league came to an end as Ashley Williams atoned for his error in the first half to give Everton a win
In a frantic finale, Alex Iwobi had a shot cleared off the line and Alexis Sanchez had a penalty shout turned down, but Everton manged to hold on for a win.
The victory means Chelsea now have a chance to extend their lead at the top of the table to 6 points.
Arsenal fans were not happy with some of their players, particularly Mesut Ozil who put in a poor performance :
Ozil, walcott and Ox were not interested in the match. Maybe playing twice a week is too much to ask given their “small” salaries.

Ozil is playing bad bt no one will say anything if ramsey does he would hv murder by now.

I can bet ozil won’t show up again on Sunday. I’d rather have a plyr that gives 70% consistently than 1 who shows up 1 in every 8 games

Bergkamp was tough mentally and physically and refused to be intimidated. Not so Mesut Ozil. Sublime footballer but not the bravest soldier.

If Ramsey put in a performance like Ozil tonight there would be a meltdown on Twitter Ozil poor & I am not afraid to say it
— Lee Judges (@leemarkjudges) December 13, 2016
Ozil went missing tonight like that guy that introduced me to MMM.

Ozil cowering there as he’s meant to mark Williams for the winner. An obviously class player, but he has a few too many of those moments.
— Miguel Delaney (@MiguelDelaney) December 13, 2016
Also Ozil was piss poor yesterday. Should’ve buried at least 2 chances. He’s pretty much playing as second striker. #EVEARS

Inexcusable from Özil, I’d rather you not even be in the box than do this. pic.twitter.com/pIYMYbdIzr

There was laughter all around after Petr Cech went up for a corner and ended up putting himself in the back of the net instead of the ball :
Best bit of that was Cech not having a single clue what to do in the Everton box when the ball hit the floor
— Adam Hurrey (@FootballCliches) December 13, 2016
Crazy end to the Everton vs Arsenal game. Watch Cech be totally confused about where he should run throughout lmao. pic.twitter.com/t7wCfc3M80

The last minute of Everton v Arsenal summed up in one picture. Yes that’s Petr Cech behind Maarten Stekelenburg… pic.twitter.com/OxFXxZ7TUT
— The Football Pools (@footballpools) December 13, 2016
Best part of that last minute was when Cech got mad confused and was stood next to Stekelenburg on the line ready to save any shots.

Arsene Wenger didn’t escape the wrath of Twitter either :
45,408 – Number of Arsenal fans trying to find their “Wenger Out” tweet that they saved in their drafts. Prepared.

How did we manage to lose at Everton, after being 1-0 up? Look errr, I don’t know. It’s little bit hard to put my finger Mustafi on it.
— Wenger Knows Best (@wengerknowsbest) December 13, 2016
Wenger lost us the game yesterday. Everton totally in control and he did nothing to alter the game or disrupt them.
— Palm-wine drinkard. (@ThirdChief) December 14, 2016
I don’t rate #Arsenal coz #Wenger‘s tactical ineptitude will forever haunt them; losing against #Everton is where they belong.
— danson kairu (@dansonkairu) December 14, 2016
I admire Wenger but the subs strictly after 65 – 70 mins only policy needs to be changed. Would have helped yesterday for sure.
