Arsenal fans expressed their disappointment and sadness at the news of Theo Walcott completing his move to fellow Premier League side Everton.
It would be unwise to say that Theo Walcott is departing Arsenal as a legend. But, after a more than decade-long association with the club and some very fine highlights, the fans are surely not wrong in expressing their sadness over the Englishman’s departure.
Messages poured in for Walcott, with a vast majority wishing him the best for his Everton career while others reminisced of the time the new Everton man was a feared quantity at Arsenal.
Don’t think I’ve ever wanted an Arsenal player to do so well after leaving than I do now with Walcott. Great guy.

I’m in tears man. I can’t believe Theo Walcott is gone. Such a loyal servant. Sorry for the harsh words I said a while back when you missed clear cut chances, it was all part of the game.

After 12 years at Arsenal, it’s a shame to see even a small section of their fans not appreciating what a brilliant player Theo Walcott has been for the club. Hope this move to Everton reignites his career and we see him at his best.

It needed to happen, but it’s actually sad watching Walcott’s highlights video. Nearing the end of an era. One day (soon) the official account will post a Wenger highlights clip. That’s going to be deep.

Theo Walcott looks happy. He’s been electric at times, but equally so frustrating. An all round nice guy, I hope he smashes it at Everton.

I don’t under stand the hate for Theo Walcott?
Yes he really didn’t reach his potential but he over 100 goals for us.
Why the hate? It’s strange

In these 12 years I have seen Theo Walcott transform from a baby boy to baby’s daddy! In between I have seen some wonderful goals from him and some unforgettable memories! pic.twitter.com/3SJQ2pNPmo

Glad Walcott has gone for his career as at Arsenal it wasn’t getting better, but also sad because. he was a Arsenal man and good person. Never spoke badly about the club and always tried his best?

You know there are some players who have to leave the club and go and you have no hard feelings towards them regarding the matter infact you want them to do good thereafter???
Yes, Theo Walcott is one of those players? wish him nothing but the best.— Supree (@LadyGooner8) January 18, 2018
Some also pointed at the class act that is Theo Walcott.
The second Everton announced Theo Walcott he thanked the players, management, staff and fans at Arsenal on this social media account.
A touch of class from him before even mentioning his ambitions at Everton.
Meanwhile Ross Barkley…..— Tony Scott (@Tony_Scott11) January 17, 2018
There’s two ways to move on from a club, Walcott has done it with class. Not my favourite player, but one I’ll fondly remember
