The Red Devils’ hierarchy are thoroughly impressed with the former midfielder’s application in the dugout, with the victory over Arsenal set to mark a turning point in their decision-making.
Manchester United have risen from beneath in back-to-back weekends to inflict defeats on title challengers Manchester City and Arsenal. The Red Devils are currently under the management of Michael Carrick, who is only on an interim basis following the sacking of Ruben Amorim.
Manchester United have thus far maintained that Carrick will be an interim manager, which hints at the possibility of installing someone permanent for the long term.
