Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is working closely with Ruud Van Nistelrooy as he looks to return to his best.
Marcus Rashford has been putting in extra effort to ensure he returns to his best after struggling for form last season. According to a report from The Sun, the English youth international is working closely with former United legend and Erik ten Hag assistant Ruud Van Nistelrooy as he looks to bounce back.
Rashford was at the top of his game during the 2022/23 season. He was involved in a total of 56 games and ended up contributing towards 40 goals (30 goals, 10 assists). Unfortunately, things didn’t go according to plan for him last season as he could only manage 14 goal contributions (8 goals, 6 assists).
He has struggled for form over the last 12 months and it has affected the Dutch manager’s team in a significant way. With the leader of the attack failing to fire, they haven’t been able to live up to the expectations. The England international hasn’t had the best of starts this season as he is yet to contribute towards a goal in his three outings.

But, the good news for United fans is that the 26-year-old forward has been putting in extra effort to bounce back this time around. Irrespective of all the money they have spent to improve their squad, Rashford still remains a vital cog and he has fire if Ten Hag wants to fight for a major silverware.
The United academy graduate has been doing extra sessions with Ruud Van Nistelrooy who has returned to the club to be Ten Hag’s assistant. During his five-year-long spell at Old Trafford, the Dutch forward scored a total of 150 goals and he can surely help Rashford who has been struggling in the final third of the pitch.
Van Nistelrooy is staying behind after regular training to help the winger out with all major aspects of an attacker’s game. The United ace is fully embracing the additional training as they particularly focus on back post awareness and running across the box.
