Tottenham Hotspur pull the plug on Julian Nagelsmann pursuit

Tottenham Hotspur are no longer interested in having former Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann as their new manager.

According to Sky Sports News, Julian Nagelsmann will not be the new Tottenham Hotspur boss. While he was linked with the role, the latest information suggests that the former Bayern Munich boss is not a part of the plans at Spurs.

Tottenham parted ways with Antonio Conte a few weeks back. And, they have been on the look for a new boss since then. Conte had a decent spell at the club but failed to end their trophy drought.

Spurs were doing fine in the ongoing season and Conte’s position at the club was well secured. However, the loss against AC Milan that resulted in their exit from the Champions League caused panic. And, post that things went from bad to worst.

Conte blasted the players and people at the club in a press conference after their 3-3 draw against Southampton in the league. His job was already under scrutiny and this media interaction didn’t do him any good. Soon, the Italian manager was shown the exit door.

Meanwhile, Nagelsmann had a decent track record at Bayern Munich. He had only lost three matches in the ongoing season. Despite getting the desired results on the pitch, he was sacked by the German giants.

People at the club saw no progress under him and he was on bad terms with a few of their senior players. As a result, they decided to part ways with him.

Ever since he became a free agent, a lot of clubs were linked with the 35-year-old German manager. Spurs and Chelsea were two of the big clubs that showcased interest in having him as their new boss. However, Tottenham are no longer interested in having Nagelsmann as their new boss.
