Joe Gomez and Stefan Bajcetic will start when Liverpool take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux on Saturday.
Liverpool are without a win in their last three league games, and they cannot afford to let the gap widen any further with their top-four rivals when they lock horns with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds are without the services of Arthur Melo, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Roberto Firmino due to fitness issues for this game. And during his pre-match press conference, Jurgen Klopp provided a team news update on his squad.
Klopp has confirmed, “The boys are training, Diogo Jota had a full session with the team this week but then the next day had again a rehab session, not because of the session the day before, it was just part of the plan. I think he will be back in normal training next week.”
“Bobby is getting closer obviously, very good. Luis is running now, it will take a few weeks still but he is now out on the pitch as well running, which is really good. Virgil is getting closer, but not ready for the [Wolves] game obviously. Parts of training, I think, next week as well for Virgil.”

Meanwhile, speaking on Konate, Klopp said, “Ibou has a muscle injury. Again he didn’t think it was massive, it happened in the game, I asked him after the game, ‘Are you OK?’ and he said, ‘Yeah, I’m OK.’ After the game [he had] treatment, scan, bam, out.”
Alisson Becker has been Liverpool’s most consistent player all season, and he is expected to retain his place in the starting lineup. The Reds will line up in their usual 4-3-3 formation in front of the Brazilian goalkeeper.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson are set to start as the full-backs. They will need to be vigilant in the absence of Konate and van Dijk. Furthermore, they will be expected to provide a creative spark going ahead as well. Joe Gomez will partner with Joel Matip at the back.
In the midfield, Stefan Bajcetic should start in place of the struggling Fabinho. Thiago Alcantara and Naby Keita are expected to start alongside him. Darwin Nunez is set to lead the line for the visitors, with Mohamed Salah on the right and Cody Gakpo on the left.
Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Gomez, Robertson; Keita, Bajcetic, Thiago; Salah, Nunez, Gakpo
