According to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, 15-year-old Palmeiras prodigy Endrick is already garnering a lot of attention from clubs in Europe, with the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City all interested.
The teenage striker has come into the spotlight of late after making his debut in the Copa Sao Paulo, which is the most prestigious Under-20 tournament in Brazil. Scouts from all over the world are usually in attendance for the competition to spot special talents coming through in the country.
Endrick has managed to capture the attention of scouts from some of the biggest clubs in the world if Nicola is to be believed. The Palmeiras forward found the back of the net twice in his first game, which has now put him on the radars of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United, among many other clubs.
Barcelona have had a long history of scouting and signing young talent from South America. With the focus back on nurturing and promoting youth at the club in Joan Laporta’s second run as president, there has been a distinct focus on recruiting youngsters from within Europe and outside to bolster the academy ranks. And Endrick is the latest such gifted prospect that the Catalans have set their sights on.
Real Madrid, too, have tasted a lot of success from bringing in talent from South America, especially in recent years with Federico Valverde, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes all becoming integral members of the first-team squad. With Florentino Perez keen on building stars for the future from within the club, adding someone like Endrick with an eye on the future makes a lot of sense for Los Blancos.
As for Manchester United, they returned to their tradition of recruiting young talents with potential during the tenure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The same policy seems set to continue under Ralf Rangnick, as seen by their interest in German prospects such as Luca Netz, Armel Bella-Kotchap and Eric Martel, among others.
The report adds that the Red Devils have their sights set on Endrick and have even made their interest known to the teenager’s representatives. Yet to turn 16, the forward has not signed a professional contract with Palmeiras. Apart from the three clubs, Liverpool and Manchester City are also monitoring the 15-year-old prospect, who is showing great promise at such a young age.
