Juventus outcast Aaron Ramsay has no intention of joining Crystal Palace or Wolves despite having no future in Turin.

A recent report from Calciomercato, as translated by Sport Witness, has offered an update on the situation of Aaron Ramsey. The midfielder is not included in Juventus’ first-team plans under Massimiliano Allegri, and the club are actively trying to offload him, perhaps even in the upcoming January transfer window. Crystal Palace and Wolves are among the clubs in contention to sign Ramsey during mid-season.

However, it appears Ramsey does not favour a move to either of these two clubs. While the report fails to mention the player’s preferences, it is apparent that he feels a move to either Palace or Wolves could be a step backwards, as far as his career is concerned.

Widely regarded as one of the more successful midfielders at Arsenal over the last decade, Ramsey had nothing short of legendary status at Emirates. He had featured in almost 400 competitive games for the Gunners, winning three FA Cups and two Community Shields, before eventually joining Juventus in 2019.

Unfortunately for him, the Welshman has struggled with injuries and a lack of game-time since his move to Turin. He is yet to even establish himself as a first-team regular for the club, and given his poor performances in Serie A, he has unsurprisingly fallen behind in the pecking order.

Ramsey’s struggle had led to links surrounding a potential return to the Premier League. One of the clubs particularly keen on attaining his services are Crystal Palace, who are desperate to add some creativity to their attacking unit in January. It is perhaps a reason why they have also registered interest in Arsenal star Nicolas Pepe.

But as far as Aaron Ramsey is concerned, a move to Selhurst Park could be out of the window. It remains unclear what the Welshman truly wants, but it won’t be surprising to see him still make his return to England. The player is most likely holding out for a move to a bigger club than Palace, especially amid interest from Liverpool lately.

Ramsey’s current contract at Juventus expires in 2023, so the Italians may fancy offloading the 30-year-old sooner than later. But he may not be the only player exiting Allianz Stadium, as the club now faces a battle to keep hold of fellow midfielder Weston McKennie while Dejan Kulusevski is also facing an uncertain future in Turin.
