Arsenal are reportedly preparing an offer for Dutch international Noa Lang, who Club Brugge values at €40 million.
According to Dutch outlet Voetbal24, Arsenal are ready to make an offer to Club Brugge for exciting attacker Noa Lang as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his attacking options.
After a fairly successful summer transfer window, Mikel Arteta will continue to make signings to complete his squad re-build. Arsenal signed six players, all under the age of 23, which showed a rather clear blueprint of the manager’s plan for the club.
Five of those signing have featured heavily so far this season, which has reduced the team’s average age significantly. Arteta will continue to make further signings in the next windows, focusing on bringing in attackers. The club wants a striker and probably a wide attacker.
They have been linked with a host of strikers in the last few weeks, with Olle Watkins and Dominic Calvert-Lewin among those featured targets. Arteta is also looking at wide attackers to sign and bolster his front three.
The Gunners are looking at a left-sided player specifically, with the likes of Raheem Sterling linked with the club. However, even if Arteta decides on the Manchester City man, he will surely be an expensive acquisition. There may also be interest from bigger clubs than the north London outfit for the attacker to consider.
However, the club have alternatives on their list, with Dutch attacker Noa Lang’s name featuring prominently. The Club Brugge wide man recently made his debut for the Netherlands in their win against Gibraltar and has shown immense promise in his development.
The Belgian side value him at €40 million, while the Gunners are reportedly prepared to pay around €30 million for Lang. In any case, if Club Brugge manages to sell him next summer for a price closer to the figures mentioned, they will make a significant profit over the €6 million fee they paid Ajax in the summer.
Arsenal have Leeds United as competition for Lang, as Marcelo Bielsa remains keen on the Dutchman. As we near the next windows, more clubs are expected to come into the equation for the attacker, as the Gunners are expected to face significant competition.
However, recently some reports suggested Lang would prefer a move to Arsenal, with the club’s history and the host of attacking talents, becoming an attractive factor. The Dutchman also falls into Arteta’s age criteria for new signings, and in all, he could be a good addition to this young squad at the Emirates.
