Manchester United are keeping tabs on Olympiacos duo Mady and Aguibou Camara, with both being identified as cost-effective options in the market.

According to Fichajes, Manchester United are in the market for Mady and Aguibou Camara. It appears Ole Gunnar Solskjaer intends to improve his team’s depth in the midfield department but having spent a fortune in the summer, he is eyeing out for cost-effective options in the market.

As a result, they have set their sights on Olympiacos duo Mady and Aguibou Camara – two Guinean midfielders who have shown a lot of promise lately. In fact, both of them are first-team regulars for the Greek giants, with Mady, in particular, being the more experienced one with 143 competitive appearances for Olympiacos while also raking in 18 caps for his country.

Aguibou Camara is from Guinea as well but is more of a young prospect. At the age of just 20, he has only started to make his presence felt this season, with four appearances in Greek Super League while also featuring in the Europa League.

The 20-year-old is the more attacking of the two as well. In fact, he is a number ten by trade, whereas Mady is a central midfielder who can control things in the middle of the park. The two players are technically sounds and are blessed with immense potential.

Manchester United’s interest in these two Olympiacos stars likely stems from the uncertain future of Donny van de Beek. The Dutchman has been linked with a January exit after struggling with a lack of game-time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

While van de Beek’s departure might not faze Manchester United, it appears Solskjaer is worried about the team’s depth in midfield. Aguibou Camara, in that regard, should be a direct replacement for the former Ajax starlet.

As for Mady, he is likely being considered as a potential alternative to Fred. The Brazilian has faced vicious criticism due to his performances so it is unsurprising that Manchester United are scouting for options in the market, having also been linked with a swoop for Fabian Ruiz recently, though the Napoli star is likely to cost a fortune.

As such, Manchester United might just end up signing the Guinean duo, who are expected to cost around €10 million each, thus making them potential bargains for the Red Devils, in the upcoming January transfer window.
