Transfer News: Atletico Madrid, Juventus keeping tabs on Bukayo Saka

Atletico Madrid and Juventus are in the market for Arsenal whizkid Bukayo Saka, who is valued in excess of €50 million.

A recent report on Calciomercato has offered an interesting update on Bukayo Saka. The young winger, considered as one of Arsenal’s biggest assets, is now being monitored by Juventus ahead of a potential summer switch. They are also joined by Atletico Madrid in the pursuit, with the player set to be worth in excess of €50 million.

This isn’t the first time Saka has been linked with a move away from Emirates, with Fabrizio Romano, earlier this month, citing interest from a few unnamed clubs. It appears Arsenal’s struggles and lack of progress under Mikel Arteta is leading them towards the risk of losing one of the biggest attacking talents in English football next summer.

A product of the AFC youth academy, Saka has indeed had unprecedented success over the past couple of years. With just two seasons, the young attacker has notched up 94 competitive appearances, scoring 12 goals while registering 21 assists. He has been one of the rare bright sparks in what has largely been a dire spell for the North London giants.

Arsenal’s struggles might now lead to a bigger problem as foreign clubs like Juventus and Atletico prepare to test the club’s resolve next summer. The youngster is highly rated by both Massimiliano Allegri and Diego Simeone due to his raw pace, ability to wriggle through tight spaces and make runs in behind the backline.

Atletico presumably want the Englishman as a potential replacement for Joao Felix next season while Juventus are actively searching the market for attacking reinforcements, after losing star player Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United.

As for Arsenal, they could be set for a bigger overhaul after the end of the season as Mikel Arteta looks to reshape his attacking unit, in particular. The Gunners have been recently linked with a move for Charles de Ketelaere but they may have to get rid of some of their current players before going after new players.

Fortunately for Arsenal fans, the club is well aware of Saka’s talents and will look to price the two European giants away from a potential summer switch for the English international.
