Manchester United are reportedly set to sign 15-year-old defender Harrison Parker after the talented prodigy left arch-rivals Arsenal.
According to the Rising Ballers Twitter account, Manchester United are set to complete the capture of promising English defender Harrison Parker after the 15-year-old left Arsenal this summer.
Born in 2006, Parker had been with the Arsenal youth academy and has been widely regarded as one of the best in his position in his age group. The 15-year-old, however, left the Gunners’ setup this summer, prompting a race to sign him up, with many clubs in England vying to add him to their ranks.
However, it is Manchester United who seem to have come out on top in the battle for the 15-year-old prodigy. The Red Devils have one of the most well-reputed academies in the country, while they also have a solid reputation of pushing through youngsters into the first-team on a regular basis, something that has come to the fore much more ever since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over the reins.
With the Brexit rules kicking in, clubs across the Premier League have been pushing to get their hands on young English talent to add to their homegrown quota.

This had seen Manchester United get linked with several youngsters such as Carney Chukwuemeka of Aston Villa while they were also said to be scouting AFC Wimbledon’s young goalkeeper Matthew Cox.
Furthermore, the 20-time English champions also managed to snare away talented teenager Ethan Ennis from arch-rivals Liverpool, and now are said to have repeated the trick with the signing of Harrison Parker from Arsenal. There have been a number of players breaking into the senior squad of late and the young Parker will be hoping to progress well and make an impression in the years to come.
As for the first-team, Manchester United enjoyed a successful transfer window that saw them sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, Raphael Varane from Real Madrid, while Tom Heaton was also brought in as a free agent after his contract with Aston Villa ran out. But the biggest move was the return of club legend Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus, which has boosted the morale around the club massively.
