Manchester United have reportedly revisited their interest in Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish, who still has admirers at Old Trafford.

According to Laurie Whitwell of The Athletic, Manchester United retain their interest in Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish. The English international had also been the subject of interest from the Red Devils over a possible move in the summer transfer window.

Grealish has been one of the hottest properties in England for quite some time now. The English international had always been touted to be a rising success in the Premier League, and he has been vindicating all the promise his potential has warranted since Aston Villa’s return to the top-flight last year.

Now the Villans’ club captain, Grealish has revelled even more since being receiving additional responsibility. So far this season, the 25-year-old has a fantastic return of 6 goals and as many assists in just 10 games across all competitions. His progress has not gone unnoticed, with several top clubs, including Manchester United, setting their sights on him.

In fact, Manchester United had been keen on securing the services of Grealish in the summer transfer window as well before a move failed to materialise. In Grealish’s stead, the Premier League heavyweights ultimately ended up signing Donny van de Beek to bolster his squad’s creative ranks.

However, it looks like Manchester United could reignite their pursuit of the Aston Villa captain, and it is not hard to see why. While Marcus Rashford has been the resounding first-choice option on the left wing and there is no displacing Bruno Fernandes centrally, it has appeared as if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could do with an additional option in attack.

With Anthony Martial struggling to no end, Rashford has often been deployed as a striker, which leaves a spot on the left wing open. This is where Grealish comes in and with the goalscoring and creative threat he poses, he could be a potential asset for Manchester United.

The stumbling block, though, is his £100 million price tag, a valuation that Manchester United have been urged to meet. As per Whitwell, Grealish has admirers at Old Trafford, although it is not mentioned if United are prepared to splash the big bucks for him. What now remains to be seen is if Manchester United do make a move for Grealish, or if they choose to look elsewhere.
