Arsenal have reportedly completed a deal worth £430,000 to land highly-rated 18-year-old striker Nikolaj Duus Moller from Malmo FF.
Swedish publication Aftonbladet claim that Arsenal have secured their first signing of the business end of the summer transfer window. The Gunners have lapped up the opportunity to sign Malmo FF teenage striker Nikolaj Duus Moller.
The deal is set to be worth around £430,000, with Moller signing a four-year contract along with a one-year extension option at the behest of the club.
Nikolaj Duus Moller is one of the best Swedish attacking talents in his age group and revered by the coaches at Malmo FF. The striker joined the Swedish giants at the age of 12 and has since moved to Serie A side Bologna before returning to be a part of Malmo’s Under-19 squad.

The 194 centimetres tall striker has also been likened to Zlatan Ibrahimovic during his time at Bologna and is a part of the first-team training at Malmo FF already. However, it seems he will not be making his senior bow at Malmo, with Arsenal having snapped him up.
The reasons for him being likened to ‘Ibra’ can be summed up as how he sees himself as a player. In an interview given to Football Skane this summer, Moller iterated as a player with a good head on him; one who can hold the ball, efficient in shooting and one who only loses a few duels, be it in the air or on the ground.
The Gunners have been looking to buy for the future recently, with their acquisitions of Gabriel Martinelli, Matteo Guendouzi all proving to be shrewd and brilliant buys that have gone into the first-team setup.
Arsenal have also spent heavily on William Saliba while bringing in George Lewis from Larvik and Jonathan Dinzeyi from Tottenham as additions for the future this summer. While Moller will arrive at Arsenal as a youth product and is likely to slot into either the Under-18 or the Under-23 squad, he could come in handy should injuries come thick and fast for Mikel Arteta’s men.
Even at the Under-23 level, Moller will have to compete with Folarin Balogun, who is another young talent tipped for a bright future at Arsenal. If he comes in and joins the Under-18s, the likes of Luke Plange, Khayon Edwards and William Vigar will provide competition for places.
