Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to name an unchanged Manchester United lineup when they face off against Southampton at Old Trafford on Monday.

Manchester United are on a roll and will look to use the form to their advantage when they meet another in form side in Southampton. The Red Devils have the opportunity to leapfrog Chelsea and Leicester City to third on the Premier League table and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to name his strongest eleven on Monday Night.

In defence, Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones are the only ones on the sidelines and were not expected to feature anyway. The back four of Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw should be retained, with a reinvigorated David de Gea guarding the Manchester United goal.

Coming to the point of rotation and picking the eleven, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hinted in the pre-match conference that there might not be any changes to the lineup from the one that won comfortably against Aston Villa.

“There’s so many things you have to consider when you manage a team. We’ve got players here champing at the bit, but also those that are in the rhythm. There are loads of decisions to be made, but they make it easier by playing and performing well. If we don’t get too many injuries, there’s no reason to change too much when you’re doing well.”

Midfield is set to remain the same as well, with Nemanja Matic forming the bedrock, with Paul Pogba the ardent playmaker and Bruno Fernandes in the hole. Mason Greenwood is going through a purple patch and is certain to start on the right, with a goal shy Marcus Rashford on the left.

Anthony Martial looked visibly upset at not getting on the scoresheet against AstonVilla and will be gunning to correct that against Southampton on Monday night. Scott McTominay and Fred will be present on the bench to provide an injection of fresh legs in the second half, whenever needed.
