Liverpool and Barcelona are among a host of European clubs that are reportedly chasing the signature of highly-rated Paris FC forward Silas Wamangituka.
The Mirror have speculated that Silas Wamangituka is drawing interest from top European clubs. The Paris FC teenager is on the radar of Liverpool, Barcelona and other clubs, who are all scouring the prospect of moving for the forward.
The report credits Get French Football News for the information that Newcastle United and Fiorentina are also interested in the 19-year-old. Also, Paris FC are reportedly keen to keep a hold of their attacking talent.
Silas Wamangituka joined Paris FC in September 2018 on a permanent basis after impressing on a brief trial spell. The youngster signed a three-year deal and has since gone on to score eight times while creating one for the club in Ligue 2, with Paris FC currently batting for promotion to Ligue 1.
Liverpool are looking to add to their attack, despite having gems like Xherdan Shaqiri, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in their squad along with Divock Origi resurfacing as an option in recent times. Jurgen Klopp is not convinced with the bench strength and is looking to add a natural striker to the team.
Barcelona, on the other hand, have been looking for an able deputy and long-term replacement for Luis Suarez. While the Catalan giants have been linked with a move for Marcus Rashford, they would rather move for Wamangituka, who would cost less and not demand anything more than a rotation or backup role straight away.

It’s the same for Liverpool as the 19-year-old will not be unhappy with not playing week-in week-out at Anfield, unlike other big names that have been linked with the Reds.
Paris FC assistant manager Stephane Gilli spoke up about the interest in Wamangituka, stating that while there is interest in the 19-year-old, the club would love to retain his services.
“It is true that there are a lot of scouts at the stadium every week, those clubs included, and many others. It is up to the club, the player and his agent to make the right choices. We want him to stay, but there is always that financial aspect, and he is a player who has a massive potential. He is a great lad who works hard though, and all this interest around him has not changed him. His mindset and behaviour have been very good.”
Gilli also spoke of Wamangituka’s qualities and areas he needs to improve on.
“There are areas to improve, notably how he plays without the ball and his positioning, so there is still a lot to learn. But in terms of intrinsic attributes, he is a player who pretty much has it all – he is quick and is good technically.”
It will be interesting to see how Liverpool, Barcelona, Newcastle and Fiorentina go about their pursuit of the 19-year-old. For now, Paris FC would be hoping Wamangituka can inspire the team to a promotion and Ligue 1 football, which in turn would improve their chances of retaining their star teenage striker.
