Manchester United are reportedly scouring the prospect of a summer move for Paulo Dybala, who is valued at £120 million by Italian giants Juventus.

According to The Sun, Manchester United have not changed their intention to replace Romelu Lukaku. The Red Devils are instead eyeing a move for Argentine international Paulo Dybala, who could be interested in a summer transfer away from Juventus.

The report entails that Juventus value the player too much and will not be open to the idea of selling the forward. But, if an offer around the £120 million is lodged by Manchester United or any other suitor(s), it may force their hand.

The Red Devils, on the other hand, are looking to include Romelu Lukaku in any potential deal for Dybala in order to bring down the cost. The Belgian was earlier reported to be ready to move to Juventus while being on the bench at Manchester United.

But, the recent turn of fortunes and form for Lukaku, who now has four goals in his last two league outings, could see a change of plans for both the player and the club.

Paulo Dybala was and is still regarded as the perfect torchbearer to replace Lionel Messi as the focal point of the Argentine National Football Team. The 25-year-old, who loves to play as the number 10, has been owning the Serie A for years now. The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo did threaten his status to a large extent.

Yet, the forward has managed to make 32 appearances in total this season so far, with a decent return of 9 goals and 6 assists, which is not bad considering that he has been in and out of the starting eleven. Ideally, Dybala would fit the system at Manchester United should Mauricio Pochettino take over, since he loves to field a 4-2-3-1.

But, of late, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has chosen to field a diamond formation, which could open room for Dybala. Even if Solskjaer fields a 4-3-3, Dybala can play up-top or on the wing a-la Jesse Lingard.

The Sun speculate that Dybala has been earmarked as the player to elevate Solskajer’s United into title contenders. The deal might even be pursued by the Red Devils regardless of the outcome of the Romelu Lukaku situation.

Dybala does seem like an ideal candidate that fits into the Solskjaer game plan. Whether he ends up being a part of it will depend on how Manchester United end up planning their summer splurge.
