Liverpool have joined Manchester United and Tottenham in pursuit of Jack Grealish, who is reportedly set for a move to the Premier League.

According to The Sun, Liverpool are the latest entrant in pursuit of Jack Grealish. The Aston Villa academy graduate has been on the radar of Tottenham and Manchester United. But, the Reds have joined the chase for the English youngster, who is being tipped for a move to the Premier League.

Tottenham were thought to the favourites to land Grealish after being the first one to table a formal bid to Aston Villa. But, the Lions rejected the £15 million bid swiftly, with the club reportedly valuing the young playmaker at around £40 million.

There are reports that Daniel Levy is pressurising cash-strapped Aston Villa to accept a £20 million bid for Grealish. But, Liverpool’s entry could see Mauricio Pochettino lose out on his primary target for the summer.

Liverpool have an array of creative talents within their squad. Naby Keita’s arrival in the summer will further add to the creative component within the squad. But, Jurgen Klopp is keen to address the lack of depth in the roster, with a move for Grealish likely to be done with the same motive.

Tottenham, on the other hand, are following Mauricio Pochettino’s instructions. The Argentine believes Grealish could become a breakout sensation upon his move to Spurs, especially with Dele Alli often having dips in form. Grealish would also add to the youthful look of the squad.

As far as Manchester United are concerned, they are also on the lookout for a number 10. Juan Mata prefers to play on the right, leaving Jesse Lingard as the only natural option for Jose Mourinho. Grealish will serve as a squad option for the Red Devils and could grow into the squad, depending on how he is able to capitalise on the chances offered.

Aston Villa’s financial position is public information now and Daniel Levy is attempting to strong-arm them to do a deal within £20 million for Grealish. One thing is certain, the youngster is likely to earn a promotion to the Premier League, despite Aston Villa’s failure to do so.

Tottenham look like the best bet for Grealish. Spurs have a manager in Pochettino, who loves promoting youth and looks very keen to land the 22-year-old. Grealish and Pochettino would hope Levy’s transfer tactics don’t irk Aston Villa into refusing to deal with Spurs.
