Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly been offered to Paris Saint-Germain by agent Mino Raiola.

The speculation surrounding the future of Manchester United star Paul Pogba doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. As per latest reports from Scottish outlet Daily Record, the 25-year old Frenchman has been offered to European heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain, by his representative Mino Raiola.

Pogba returned to Manchester United from Juventus in the summer of 2016, for a then world record fee of £89 million, but hasn’t been able to hit the same heights as he did back in Turin. After a difficult first campaign last time out, things were expected to take a turn for the better but that hasn’t been the case as Pogba, despite showing glimpses of brilliance, has struggled for consistency.

The French international has made 34 appearances across all competition for the Red Devils in the 2017/18 season, coming up with returns of 6 goals and 12 assists in the process.

Reports of a rift between Pogba and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho have been doing the rounds for quite some time now and while both the parties have come out and denied any such claims, the rumours refuse to die.

Things are understood to have further worsened after it emerged that Pogba’s agent, Raiola, had offered his client to several big clubs across Europe including the likes of Real Madrid and neighbours Manchester City, along with PSG. And now, it seems that PSG are considering the prospect of bringing the Frenchman into the fold ahead of the next season.

Les Parisiens are interested in the opportunity to land the 25-year old, as they look to pair him up with their other big money signings Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in order to achieve dominance on the continental stages. And the presence of former Barcelona and PSG left-back Maxwell, who used to Raiola’s client as well, within the club’s technical staff has helped the talks nurture between the two parties.

Any such move could prove to be troublesome for PSG though, as they could breach the Financial Fair Play rules. Having already spent over £350 million in transfer fees for just Neymar and Mbappe, they could find themselves in hot waters with the governing body if they decide to shell out the £140 million that Manchester United are likely to demand for Pogba, in case they do decide to let go of the player.

Mourinho, earlier this week, said that he expected Pogba to stay at the Old Trafford next season, but a chance to return to his homeland and to play alongside someone like Neymar could unsettle the 25-year old, especially so if there is any truth to the reports of his iffy situation with the manager.

At the moment, both Manchester United and Pogba will be focusing on the FA Cup finals against Chelsea in over a week’s time, but the questions over his long-term future at the club will continue to keep popping up and it remains to be seen if the 25-year old will still be a United player come next season.
