Tottenham are keeping tabs on Richarlison and are reportedly already plotting a move for the Brazilian just months into his Premier League career.

It looks like Mauricio Pochettino is scouring several players as potential target to reinforce his wing. And if reports from The Mirror are to be believed, the Tottenham boss is keeping tabs on the progress of Watford’s summer signing Richarlison, who has set the Premier League alight with his explosiveness.

Richarlison de Andrade arrived in the Premier League amidst raised eyebrows, mainly due to his choice to join Watford, despite interest and advances from clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United and Ajax, who were labelled the favourites to land the Brazilian.

However, the early signs have provided some vindication to the player’s decision, with the 20-year-old and Watford both producing some brilliant displays in the league.

While the Hornets collectively, have started off well under Marco Silva before a few hiccups in the recent matches, Richarlison has been on a tear as far as individual performances are concerned. 11 Premier League games into his nascent career, the player already boasts 4 goals and 3 assists.

Needless to say, the player has adjusted to the rigours of Premier League football with aplomb, which has further piqued the attention in his potential. And Tottenham, who are always on the lookout for young first-team-ready players to add to their squad, have registered their interest.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side has been linked with several wingers in the recent days – Nadiem Amiri, Manuel Lanzini and Riyad Mahrez are all targets for Spurs – a trend which has continued with the Londoners now reported to be keeping a keen eye on Richarlison’s progress at Watford.

Tottenham have been disappointed by the inability of Moussa Sissoko to have much of an impact while being deployed on the left wing. And with Spurs looking to reinforce in the said position, Richarlison could emerge as a viable target for Pochettino & co.

Watford have done the right thing by locking the 20-year-old down to a five-year deal when he was signed, as evidenced by the advent of admirers. And with so many years left on his current deal, the ball does seem to be in Watford’s court, in case any club does come in with a real offer for Richarlison.

The Brazilian himself seems like a level-headed player, case in point his decision to opt for Watford instead of other higher profile players. Hence, it is unlikely that the 20-year-old will be fazed by the interest of clubs like Tottenham.

For now, Tottenham could be resigned to just keeping tabs on the youngster and Watford would hope Richarlison continues his blitzing start to what is his maiden campaign in Europe.
