Barcelona are reportedly interested in a swap deal with Arsenal by offering Rafinha in exchange for Hector Bellerin.

According to a report by MarcaBarcelona might just inch closer to signing Hector Bellerin after Rafinha Alcantara has made it vocal that he wants to leave the Camp Nou this summer and hence can be used as a bargaining chip.

The Brazilian midfielder is in search of more playing time and is believed to be interested in moving to the Premier League and especially to Arsenal, since Arsene Wenger can provide him enough scope to grow as a footballer.

The Catalan giants have been keen on re-signing their prodigal player Hector Bellerin. By adding Rafinha as a sweetener, they could tempt Arsenal into selling Bellerin and at a much lower price.

Bellerin left Catalonia for North London as a teenager back in 2011. The now 22-year-old has since gone on to establish himself as one of Arsenal’s key players and has also become a regular for the Gunners, as a result of which, he also managed to break into the Spanish national team.

In fact, after making his senior breakthrough in the 2014-15 campaign for Arsenal, Bellerin has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the club. After developing his talent under the watchful eye of Arsene Wenger, Bellerin seems to be on the look-out for an exit route this summer especially since his boyhood club are interested in a reuinion.

Despite committing to a new long-term contract with Arsenal only in November 2016, Bellerin might be interested in moving back to Spain. The deal will also benefit Arsenal since Arsene Wenger has been trying to raid the transfer market in search of a new quality midfielder – something Rafinha can provide.

Having a player like Rafinha in the midfield can certainly boost Arsenal’s squad and he can fit into their plans in that area since his style of play is the kind that Arsene Wenger would like to have in his side.

As far as Barcelona are concerned, their primary objective this summer has been to sign a right-back and Bellerin is understood to be their favourite option. The Catalonian giants have also been linked to sign Marco Verratti from Paris Saint-Germain, so losing Rafinha will not result in a loss.
