AS Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar’s has made a strong impression as Juventus, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing him.

According to a report by Telefoot, the mission to obtain Thomas Lemar’s signature is driving big names like Juventus, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur crazy as they are all scrambling to sign the 21-year-old.

Lemar played a strong role in Monaco’s emphatic triumph as they won the Ligue 1 title last season, ending Paris Saint-Germain’s long reign.

The young midfielder played a whopping 55 games last season as he helped lead the French side to a relatively elusive Ligue 1 glory. Considering his age and position, the Frenchman managed to score nine solid league goals in 28 starts last term.

What gives Lemar the kind of speed and accuracy he possesses is how light he is on his feet. Lithe and brilliantly balanced, he has the capability of easily beating a defender or two and is extremely creative since he can set up opportunities at any time.

With four major clubs looking to sign him, Lemar will know that he is made a strong impact on the minds of managers like Jurgen Klopp, Arsene Wenger, Massimiliano Allegri and Mauricio Pochettino.

Jurgen Klopp is eager to refine his attacking force ahead of next season and is trying to add more talent. Signing Lemar would give Klopp a good amount of quality and depth in the midfield, but whether or not he will give him regular starts might be a factor in the success of the deal.

Liverpool are also linked with signing Mohamed Salah which could possibly mean that the Merseyside club will make a move on Lemar only if they are unable to succeed in signing Salah.

A move to Arsenal will be beneficial for Lemar because he can get a lot more playing time and be assured of a key role since Wenger is lacking for options in the midfield. Although Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are expected to exit this summer, Lemar can work with them and be lethal if the celebrated Gunners duo somehow decide to stay back.

Spurs, last season’s Premier League runners-up, have been comparatively low-key as far as their transfer affairs are concerned this summer but it looks like they are set to consider signing Thomas Lemar.

Next season will be a vital one for Pochettino since he will have to work towards pulling the Spurs out of the ‘so close, yet so far’ tag. Signing Lemar can definitely help with that since he is comfortable to play in the wide left side role. In fact, Lemar’s style of play is somewhat similar to Dele Alli.

Lemar can also play excellent crosses to set his teammates up for scoring which Harry Kane can capitalize upon.

As far as moving to club like Juventus which is already filled with superstars is concerned, the whole idea might sound too overwhelming for a 21-year-old since he will have to fight hard to keep his spot there and probably even give up on guaranteed regular playing time.

Be that as it may, Lemar does have a lot of options in hand but it all comes down to whether or not Monaco will be willing to part ways with one of their key figures.
