Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is confident of sealing a deal for £50-million-rated Inter Milan attacker Ivan Perisic

According to Miguel Delaney of the Independent, Jose Mourinho and Ivan Perisic and have agreed to personal terms, and now the onus is on Inter Milan to reach an agreement with the Manchester club. The Portuguese manager remains confident that the two parties will settle on a fee in the region of £50 million.

The 28-year-old is extremely keen and excited to move to the club, and given the financial straits at Inter, they are reluctant to let go of the player as the new owners want to rebuild the side and make them challenge on the European front.

Mourinho is primed to continue with his transfer business after securing the signing of defender Victor Lindelof, and is now looking to reach an agreement with Inter to make Perisic the second one through the door at Old Trafford in the summer.

The Red Devils boss has been looking to sign a quality left winger as he was unhappy with the erratic performances of Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard this past season, and Perisic is a quality player in that department.

While he may not be the most youngest and agile wingers in the market, he is an experienced and composed figure on the ball, and his quality has come in handy for both his club and country during the past few years, and he is expected to fit the bill at Manchester United.

He is not likely to be the only other player barring Lindelof to move to Old Trafford this summer as the club have been linked with a number of players across Europe, and are closing in on moves for them.

One such name is Alvaro Morata, who is expected to leave Real Madrid for the Premier League this summer, with Manchester United favourites to land him. Much like the Perisic deal, the transfer looms on the clubs agreeing to a fee, with the player already having discussed personal terms.

United also could swoop in with another offer for Torino striker Andrea Belotti, but they are unwilling to match the player’s buy-out clause of £84 million. Should the Serie A side be willing to let go of their prized asset for a lesser price, he could land up at Old Trafford.

Mourinho is also looking for reinforcements in central midfield and has been linked with a host of names in that department. Fabinho, who appeared to be nearing in on a move to Old Trafford, is reportedly not on the priority list at the club.

Eric Dier and Nemanja Matic are understood to be on that list, and Mourinho will be looking to bring them to the club before the end of the window in September.
