Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly have to bid adieu to Danny Rose as Manchester United look to sign the left-back.
According to a report by The Mirror, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is listing out potential candidates to fill Rose’s spot as the defender looks set to move out of the club this summer.
Signing a quality left-back has been top-priority for Jose Mourinho especially after struggling to cope with all the injuries that plagued United’s defenders for majority of the season.
Danny Rose spent his youth career playing for Leeds United and also played for Sunderland on loan from the Spurs. He is often touted as one of the most improved players at Tottenham when his present form is compared to when he first joined.
The full-back also managed to score a goal on his debut for the Spurs at White Hart Lane. His talent has always been evident and he was pretty impressive even at Sunderland. Once he returned to the Spurs, he quickly cemented himself as a first-team regular.

Rose has managed to blossom into one of the best left-backs in the Premier League under the watchful eye of Pochettino. He was having an excellent season before a nasty injury in January, which restricted him to 18 Premier League appearances.
He also proved his ability in going forward with two goals and created a total of 26 chances.
Tottenham do have an able back-up in Ben Davies, who may not be as incisive in an attacking sense but will be able to fill in for Rose as far as defence is concerned. Thus, United will have a stronger chance at signing the defender.
There were also reports which suggested that United might offer Luke Shaw as a part-exchange for Danny Rose which can be of interest to the Spurs. Shaw did struggle to maintain form at United but he has potential and can do well under Pochettino.
If the deal works out, Manchester United will receive one of the top left-backs in the league, while Spurs will have a player who has the potential to do exceedingly well with the right training, and will also have Ben Davies as a back-up.
Pochettino has also been eyeing Fulham’s wonder kid Ryan Sessegnon amid competition from Liverpool and Manchester City.
