Anthony Martial is reportedly disgruntled at Manchester United and is seeking an exit from the club in the summer.

Former Gestifute agent Vincent Rodriguez believes that French youngster Anthony Martial is unhappy with the treatment he has received by Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and is looking to leave the club in the summer.

On his Twitter handle, Rodriguez has stated that the 21-year-old has informed his agent and family that he is sick of his time at the Manchester club, and is seeking an immediate exit due to the unfair treatment he has received.

Anthony Martial was signed on deadline day in last season’s summer transfer window for an initial fee of £36 million with at least another £20 million in add-ons. He was regarded as the next big thing for the club, and showed glimpses of his brilliance in his very first game.

In his 31 league appearances last season, the 21-year-old impressed as he found the back of the net on 11 occasions and provided another 4 assists. With the lack of quality strikers, the Frenchman played the role of the focal point with near perfection.

However, this season, under the reign of Jose Mourinho, Martial has been treated like somewhat of an outcast. Prone to making attacking runs and not paying heed to the defensive side of his game, Martial has suddenly fallen down the pecking order at United.

The Portuguese manager believes that the French player has made costly errors this season, and has gone public with his criticism for the player. In late November, he told Martial that he needs to pull up his socks and fight for his place at the club, or perish altogether.

In recent weeks, the fans have been seeing more of Martial has he started in key games against Manchester City and Burnley in the league. Against the Clarets, the Frenchman ruled the show as he scored and provided an assist in his side’s 2-0 win.

Thus, his alleged intentions to leave may have come as somewhat of a surprise, but Mourinho is expected to have a chat with him, and ensure that he is happy at the club. Also, with United challenging for the Europa League as well, the Portuguese will need his attacking players to play with a clear mind.
