Arsenal have reportedly stepped up their interest in Hull City’s Josh Tymon in order to steal a march on Liverpool and Everton, who are also showing interest.

ESPN have claimed that, as per their sources, Arsenal are stepping up their interest in Hull City defender Josh Tymon. The player is also being scouted by Liverpool and Everton, and Arsenal are looking to steal a march on the other suitors in their pursuit of Tigers’ prized young asset.

Josh Tymon is a Hull City player who joined the club at the age of 12 and has since gone through the paces at the club’s academy. The 17-year-old made his Premier League debut for Hull over the weekend at the Stadium of Light against Sunderland and has already featured for England at the Under-17 level.

Even though Tymon made his league debut over the weekend, the youngster broke through into the first-team setup last season at the age of 16. And now, with his debut in the Premier League, the player has featured for Hull in the Premier League, FA Cup and the EFL Cup as well.

The player is very highly rated at the club but he is yet to sign a professional deal with the Tigers, something which has alerted the top clubs in the Premier League to the possibility of securing a transfer for the player. As a result of the player still being on a scholarship deal, Tymon is one of the lowest earners in the whole league to have made an appearance.

Arsenal’s interest comes from the fact that the player featured against the Gunners in the fifth round of the FA Cup at Emirates last season and impressed the spectators and the hosts with his performance on the night. Liverpool and Everton have also been alerted of the possibility to secure a deal for one of the most promising full-backs.

As of now, the interested clubs may contact the player directly and attempt to offer a professional contract to the player, which would entitle Hull City to a compensation. But Hull City are reported to be aware of the situation and have already held talks with the player over signing a professional deal at the club.

But interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton may complicate the situation for Mike Phelan and his club. Hull may end up losing the player for a measly compensation, something they hope to avoid by agreeing professional terms with the player.
