Aaron Ramsey has fired warning shots to Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the crunch game on Sunday

The Welsh midfielder has only just made a return from injury, and came on as a substitute in the 4-1 victory over Sunderland to notch an assists in just 13 minutes.

Arsenal were deadlocked with Sunderland and were finding it hard to break down their opponents until the introduction of Olivier Giroud – who scored a brace – and Aaron Ramsey. It is this resolve and strength in depth that has made Ramsey feel they can break down Tottenham – who are the only team that remain unbeaten this season – and secure an important victory this Sunday.

Ramsey maintains that Mauricio Pochettino’s men are difficult opponents, but that Arsenal can find away past their resolute defence – which star man Toby Alderweireld is unlikely to be a part of :

“They’ve been a tough challenge in the last couple of seasons. It’s a derby game, we know what to expect.

“They’re unbeaten in the league so far this season.” Ramsey said, according to The Mirror

“It’s up to us to break them down. We’re at home and we’re full of confidence we can come away with a win.”

Tottenham have been touted as title challengers along with Arsenal, by pundits and players alike, thanks to Pochettino’s transformation of the side into a strong unit.

Despite remaining unbeaten, however, they have dropped unexpected points to the likes of Bournemouth and West Bromwich Albion, which sees them sit at fifth place in the table, although the gap to league-leaders Manchester City – who are tied on points with Arsenal and Liverpool – is only 3 points.

A victory for Tottenham would see them go level with Arsenal on points, separated only by goal difference. A victory for Arsenal, however, will see them extend their lead over their bitter North London  rivals to 6 points.

Whichever way you look at it, this is definitely a match that both teams need to be at their best to win, and this is exactly what Ramsey feels Arsenal will do.
