We all knew this was coming for the last couple of days, but Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka has finally been officially announced by Arsenal FC as their first new signing for the 2016 summer transfer window.
Arsenal are not generally known to rush their signings — something that has often gotten them into trouble in the transfer market, with rival clubs swooping in and hijacking their targets. This time however, the Gunners have not dithered one bit, officially announcing their first transfer before the start of June.
