Football World Reacts To The Brussels Terror Attacks [Tweets]

The football world reacted in sheer shock and horror to the news of multiple bomb blasts ripping through the Belgian capital on Monday morning.

Two blasts hit the departure hall of Brussels International Airport immediately before another explosion occurred at the Maelbeek metro station in central Brussels. The blasts left at least 30 people dead and hundreds injured in Belgium’s worst ever terrorist attack.

The Belgium Football Association announced the cancellation of a training session for the national team that was scheduled to take place on the day of the attacks. Belgium were to host Portugal in a friendly encounter at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels next Tuesday. It is currently uncertain if the match will go ahead as per schedule.

As expected, the football world joined in unison to condemn these heinous terror strikes and offer their condolences. Here are some of the reactions on Twitter.
