Jurgen Klopp Wants An Amicable Solution To Liverpool FC’s Ticket Price Row

The disgruntled Liverpool FC fans have been quite unhappy with their club’s decision to increase the ticket prices at Anfield up to £77, and now Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has had his say on the matter.

The Liverpool management had taken the decision to increase the ticket prices at Anfield, with the costliest ticket being priced at £77. This understandably did not go down too well with the Liverpool fans, who decided to walk out of the stadium in the 77th minute of their Premier League match against Sunderland.

Manager Jurgen Klopp, who was not present at the stadium himself due to a case of appendicitis, was obviously not too happy with this, but said that the matter was much too delicate for a one-sided comment.

“It’s not too easy for me to say too much but I heard about this problem of course. Now I know it’s my problem too,” Klopp was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror. “Everything I could say now would make it more complicated. First of all I have to collect more information.

“But I know everyone in the club has a big interest to find a solution for us because it’s not what we want. we don’t want people to leave the stadium until the game finishes,” Klopp further said. “That is all I can. When I heard about it I was disappointed, of course.”

Fans’ revolt to affect results?

The walkout at Anfield in the weekend Premier League fixture seems to have affected the result too. Liverpool FC were comfortably cruising in the second half, with a 2-0 lead given to them with goals from Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana.

However, soon after the Liverpool fans started to walk out of the stadium, the Reds deteriorated and had to settle for a 2-2 draw in the end, courtesy of goals from Adam Johnson and Jermain Defoe. The top brass at Liverpool might look at this as an indication of the psychological disadvantage of players caused by such fan revolts, and take another call on the ticket prices at Anfield.
