Real Madrid Winger Says Moving To Valencia CF Was An Easy Decision To Make

The 25-year-old Real Madrid winger, who joined Valencia on loan for the rest of the season, has stated that he considers it to be a big opportunity for him and the decision to move was an easy one to make.

Russian winger Denis Cheryshev’s most notable contribution to Los Blancos  this season was to have them disqualified from the Copa del Rey. He was fielded against second division side Cadiz CF by then manager Rafa Benitez, despite being suspended for the match.

Cheryshev will not have the opportunity to make amends at Real Madrid anymore, as he has been loaned out to rival club Valencia CF for the rest of the season. Speaking after the move, the winger spoke of his excitement to be at his new club and how eager he was to contribute.

“It is a very important opportunity for me and I hope to live up to this challenge,” the former Real Madrid man told Valencia TV. [via:fourfourtwo.com]

“I moved to Valencia because of the interest the club showed in me, as well as the coach, and that made it a pretty easy decision to take because this is a big club.

“I come to the club with the goal of helping as much as I can from now on.”

Rough start for Neville’s coaching career

All the hype surrounding Manchester United legend Gary Neville’s foray into coaching with Valencia CF seems o have died down after he has failed to get results at the club. Valencia are still looking for a win under Neville and lie in 12th position in the La Liga table, with three draws and two losses in their last five games.

The Englishman will be hoping Cheryshev can be the spark his side needs, as he gears up to face league leaders Barcelona in the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg on Wednesday.
