Leicester City v Liverpool FC Preview: Lineups, Stats, Prediction and Odds

League leaders Leicester City begin a testing run of Premier League fixtures by welcoming Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool FC to the King Power stadium on Tuesday.

Claudio Ranieri’s team have spent much of the season making fans and pundits alike eat humble pie, and with the Foxes still atop the Premier League table, the football world has come to acknowledge that a top four finish — if not a title win — is certainly within their reach.

Leicester City’s run of Premier League games in February includes a visit to the Etihad and the Emirates after hosting Liverpool FC on Tuesday, and if they come through that period relatively unscathed, Champions League football at the King Power stadium next season will seem an inevitability.

Liverpool FC will be in good spirits following their passage to the Capital One Cup final, and Klopp will not have given up hope of securing a top four finish this season. The Reds need to go on a winning run, however, and beating the league leaders in their own backyard might be the ideal start.

Ranieri’s men will want to make yet another statement of intent by beating Liverpool FC on Tuesday, but the Reds should have enough about them to earn at least one point at the King Power stadium, particularly given the confidence-boost they will have received from their League Cup exploits.
