Mikel Arteta has chosen Takehiro Tomiyasu as the left-back, which is the only major surprise for Arsenal’s clash with Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta has named his strongest available lineup for the clash against Liverpool at the Emirates, with Oleksandr Zinchenkio missing out altogether. The Ukrainian international has not been training this week, but Kieran Tierney is on the bench.
Instead, Arteta has chosen Takehiro Tomiyasu as a left-back against Liverpool. The Japanese international is the only change from the Tottenham game, as he starts alongside Ben White, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes in a back four. Aaron Ramsdale takes his place in the Arsenal goal.

Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka are the preferred midfield duo for Arsenal. The Swiss international is expected to play a more attacking role, as he has done all season. Captain Martin Odegaard is Arsenal’s playmaker in the advanced No.10 role.
Bukayo Saka starts on the right side of the Arsenal attack, while Gabriel Martinelli holds his position on the left flank. Gabriel Jesus will hope to improve his record against Liverpool, as the Brazilian leads the line for the Gunners.
